Hello Everyone!

First of all i would like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who stood by stomp and helped support it in every way you could… It meant the world!

NOW for the News….

First of all… After a great meeting with the Cairns Regional Council they have agreed to continue their essential support to Stomp the Nard. A big thank you to inner city facilities and Val Schier herself for contributing a very big helping hand.

So all systems are GO!

Things i will be Confirming in the next week include…

1. Date of Stomp
The original date was April 3rd 2011 but a few other dates are floating around at the moment as well… we will make the official and final decision in the next few days but their WILL be a Stomp no later than May 1st 2011.

2. Location of Stomp
During today’s meeting regarding Stomp with the council the subject of location was heavily discussed. Unfortunately even i believe that Stomp has outgrown the Skate Park… so we are looking into doing stomp @ Fogarty park on the esplanade for the first time. It has a great stage which has a smoothed cement top which is great for dancers and their is plenty of room to cater to the large crowds that come to stomp.

3. Sponsors
Getting the final list of sponsors and contributors to Stomp together. So if you can contribute or know someone that can please get them in touch with me – angelo@stompthenard.com

Once again a huge personal thank you goes out to everyone who stood by Stomp. A big thank you to Hot FM, Cairns Post and all the people who wrote a letter, had their say or even just posted a status update on facebook… All your support is what makes Stomp worthwhile!

I know i always say this… but this really is looking to be the biggest and best Stomp that we have ever done…. so lets all put in 110% !!!
