The Esplanade Skate Park is going to host Cairns’ biggest dance battle – Stomp the Nard! So get your friends together and come and see the best B-boyz and Girlz, Krumpperz, Clownerz, and hip hop dancers from the north.
Stomp The Nard as an event has gathered momentum since its inception in 2007, it started out as a back alley street dance battle with about 40 people attending.
It has now evolved into an open-air, widely publicized event with in excess of 2500 people attending.
The event incorporates a wide range of dance styles and hip-hop music.
The idea of bringing event out into the open was to educate the public about the hip hop culture, and to mainly give a voice and expression for young talented and gifted people in our community.
